Getting Here

It is remarkably easy to get to Bonavista. John Cabot sailed across the uncharted Atlantic in 1497 using the Matthew to discover this
new land. For you it is a 3-hour drive from St. Johns. The scenery is breath taking. Please watch for Moose on the road especially
at dusk and night. They are attracted to the salt on the road and become paralyzed in the car headlights. Drive slowly
on Highway 230. Bonavista and Elizabeth J. Cottages will both be waiting for you.
From the Trans Canada Highway, exit at 230-A or 230 or 233. Follow signs to Bonavista via Highway 230 or 235. It is suggested
that for the most scenic route that you follow Highway 235 into Bonavista and Highway 230 when departing Bonavista.
